Guidelines:
Attending Po Lam activities requires prior arrangement
Do not bring cigarettes, alcohol, cannabis, or any form of controlled substance
Do not bring meat or meat products or anything containing onion or garlic
Wear modest clothing: knees, shoulders, breast and midriffs must be covered
Socks are required in all buildings
Do not bring animals onto the property or leave dogs and cats in your car
Po Lam “Monastery Stay Experience” Eligibility & Guidelines
The monastery stay experience is intended for those who wish to strengthen their practice in a monastic environment, supported by the Triple Gem, and are happy to participate in all daily activities. As such, the minimum pre-requisites are:
a) Prior completion of a 5-, 7-, or 15-day residential mindfulness meditation course with Venerable Yin Kit. and; b) Active participation in at least 3 events at Po Lam Buddhist Association in Chilliwack, BC within the last calendar year.
