Is everything here free?

The Buddha’s Teachings are so precious that a price can never be placed upon them. Everything that is here has been offered by the kind generosity of others that have come before you.

Although everything here is given, it is not “free.”

Why do we do this? Po Lam follows the tradition set out by our Teachers who always gave the Teachings without asking for anything in return. Po Lam never charges fees for programs or retreats or for staying with the community.

However, this does not mean there are no costs associated with these activities.

No one is ever turned away due to lack of funds. Donations are deeply appreciated and vital to keeping the monastery open and sustaining this tradition and our monastic community.
